Charlie was one of the nicest guys in our class and maintained a love of Delbarton throughout his life.
Many fond memories of hanging out with him and Mike DiLeo in the Oranges and at the Harris Diner. I think Charlie and I were the only ones to flunk Fr. Michael's chemistry exam, so we decided to study together for the make up. We used the exam we flunked as a study guide, and were delighted when Fr. Michael gave us the same exam for the make up! In recent years Charlie and I enjoyed trading stories about our relatives in Ireland. I know he was very close to his O'Grady relatives, and will be dearly missed by them as well as all of us, his lovely wife Anne Marie, and his children and grandchildren.
Charlie you will be missed. Always a laugh and love for your classmates. Joanne and I are sorry we were never able to coordinate our many trips to St. Martin a place we all loved. Chaz you are in our prayers and now that you are with the Lord keep us in your prayers
You will be toasted and missed at our future gathering. God Bless my friend
Charlie was always a good guy and always a good friend. This was proved over and over again from the moment I first met him years ago until this December when he came to our Christmas luncheon. In our last few meetings, while he was grievously ill and then dying, he helped me find a way of dealing with a family problem that now with his guidance is resolving itself. At least I had the opportunity to thank him. But some debts can never be repaid and can never be forgotten. Knowing him was a grace from God.
