I hate to write this email!  Noel died Wednesday, May 25th.  He was surrounded by family and had visits from some of his closest friends that afternoon.  Jennifer, Bruce and I were with him.  Peter was here last weekend but had left for Mozambique on Monday.  He really failed quickly after our visit to Chapel Hill last month.  Fortunately, he did not have a lot of pain but he was very edematous and very short of breath and extremely weak.

I apologize for getting this out so late but it has been a bit of a zoo here.

I cannot begin to tell you how much all your love and prayers have supported and sustained us.  When things settle down I will be in touch.

I have so many fond memories of Noel.  He was the smartest kid in our class.  He and I went on to Georgetown University.  He loved coming to all our reunions and joined heartedly in all our fun memories.  Every Christmas we were sure to get a letter from Noel. Our Delbarton reunions were surely on his list of "must do".  Peg and I were deeply saddend to learn of his death.  When we gather again at reunions, Noel will surely be among us.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to DeDe and the family.  Best memories of Noel are the reunions and his Christmas.  My last conversation with him was in March and told him he better make the reunion this year.  Well we know that he will be there in spirit.  Noel you look over us from Heavens Skies

Barry
